How We Handle Your Data

1. What We Collect

• Email address — only when you voluntarily enter one to open a Garage profile, sign up for the Pro Directory, or subscribe to deal blasts.
• Garage preferences — truck/bed presets, compressor specs, favorite brands, and saved Bedliner / Spray Setup builds. Used only to personalize your catalog view and the deals row.
• Anonymous usage telemetry — standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and performance debugging. Logs are rotated and purged within 30 days.

2. What We Do Not Collect

• Names, phone numbers, mailing addresses, or payment details.
• Government IDs, business licenses, or tax info.
• Any biometric, demographic, or precise location data.
• Children's information — the site is not directed to minors.

3. Cookies & Affiliate Tracking

When you click an outbound retailer link, our affiliate partners (currently Skimlinks and Sovrn Commerce) may set tracking cookies on your browser so that if you complete a purchase, the retailer can attribute the sale and pay us a commission.

• The cookie has zero effect on the price you pay.
• The cookie does not read other browsing history outside the retailer.
• You can opt out at any time by disabling third-party cookies in your browser, or by using the opt-out pages at skimlinks.com/privacy-policy and sovrn.com/privacy-policy.

We do not run banner ads or third-party retargeting pixels. There are no Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or TikTok Pixel tags on this site.

4. How We Use Email Addresses

If you supply your email, we use it strictly for the purpose you entered it — Garage profile, Pro Directory listing, or deal-blast subscription. We never sell, rent, or share your email with retailers, paint manufacturers, or any third party. You can request deletion at any time by emailing gotdeals@refinishmarket.com and we'll remove the record within 7 business days.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

EU and California residents have the right to (a) access the data we hold on you, (b) request correction, (c) request deletion, and (d) opt out of any data sharing. To exercise any of these rights, email gotdeals@refinishmarket.com with your request. We do not sell personal information for the purposes defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act.

6. Data Security

All site traffic is served over HTTPS. Garage data is stored in a managed MongoDB cluster with access restricted to backend services. We patch infrastructure routinely and do not retain server logs beyond 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Last updated” timestamp at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for 14 days.
